MARY HANKINS

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Mary Ellen McLaughlin Hankins, 72, of De Queen died Thursday, March 12, 2009, at her home. <br />Mrs. Hankins was born April 10, 1936, in Howard County, Ark. She was a registered nurse, a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, Wickes, Ark. She was preceded in death by one stepson, Ernest Hawkins. <br />Survivors include her husband, Thomas “Bud” Hankins of De Queen; two sons, Stephen Hensley of Horatio, Ark., and Craig Hensley of De Queen; one daughter, Susan Wallace of Foreman, Ark.; one stepson, Jerry Hankins of Silver City, N.M.; one stepdaughter, Darlene Hankins of Tucson, Ariz.; one brother, John McLaughlin of Wickes; four sisters, Jeannie White and Patsy Hill of Wickes, Darlene Manasco of Umpire, Ark., and Lynn Daves of Avoka, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with Leon McCleskey officiating. Burial will be in Duckett Cemetery, Wickes, under direction of Chandler Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Online registration is at www.chandlerfuneral.com. <br /> <br />
