APPLEWHITE JACKSON

ATLANTA, Texas—Applewhite Jackson, 78, of Queen City, Texas, died Sunday, March 15, 2009, after a lengthy illness. <br />Mr. Jackson was born Nov. 15, 1930, in Carroll County, Miss. He was a retired programmer analyst for Department of the Military with Computer Systems Command, Sunday school teacher, member of Masonic Lodge, Hamasa Temple Shrine, Meridian, Miss., Tanglewood Baptist Church and Army Air Corp veteran. <br />Survivors include his wife, Madeline Anthony Jackson of Queen City; four daughters, Wanda Kolby of Keizer, Ore., Deborah Hughes of Douglassville, Ga., Melinda Huff of Pahrump, Nev., and Patricia Jackson of Harvey, La.; three stepdaughters, Claudia Teague and Charity Ragsdale of Atlanta and April Fletcher of Queen City; one stepson, James Ragsdale of Angleton, Texas; one brother, Edward Jackson of Hammond, La.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Tanglewood Baptist Church. Arrangements are under direction of Hanner Funeral Service. <br /> <br />
