ROGER STANLEY

NEW BOSTON, Texas—Roger Lynn Stanley, 56, of Simms, Texas, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, in a Texarkana nursing home. <br />Mr. Stanley was born Sept. 19, 1952, in Naples, Texas. He was a self-employed laborer and a member of Bowie Baptist Association and Calvary Baptist Church, where he was a food pantry volunteer. <br />Survivors include one sister, Barbara Wise of Simms, Texas; one nephew, Wayne Tittle; two nieces, Patty Hughes and Gloria Anderson; one aunt, Bessie Firth; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Revs. Tracy Wilkes and Roy Ford officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. <br />Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. <br />Memorials may be made to Hospice of Texarkana, 803 Spruce St., Texarkana, TX 75501. <br /> <br />
