MARK TURNER

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas—Mark Anthony Turner, 52, of Omaha, Texas, died Friday, March 20, 2009, in Mount Pleasant. <br />Mr. Turner was born March 24, 1956, in Naples. He was a truck driver for Lowe’s, Mount Pleasant, a member of Church of Christ, Omaha, and an Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Genevieve Sue Ella Turner-Sims; and one grandchild. <br />Survivors include three daughters, Miranda Turner of Houston, Markennia Turner of California and Markita Bullock of North Carolina; one brother and sister-in-law, Malcolm and Dwuaka Turner of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Kyra and Don Lee of Burleson, Texas, and Karen Moore of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. <br />Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Omaha First Baptist Church with the Rev. L.C. Bell Jr. officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Hollister, N.C., under direction of Tumey Mortuary. <br />The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today with visitation 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. <br />Memorials may be made to Patty and Bo Pilgrim Cancer Center; Cypress Basin Hospice Care, Mount Pleasant; or Stand Up To Cancer, c/o EIF, 1201 W. 5th St., Suite 1-700, Los Angeles, CA 90017. <br /> <br />
