WALTER PESSEL

Walter Benjamin Pessel, 95, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, in a local hospital. <br />Mr. Pessel was born Sept. 18, 1913, in Tucumcari, N.M. He was a retired railway postal clerk, a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church and an Army Air Corps veteran. <br />Survivors include his wife, Grace Louise Pessel of Texarkana; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda Lou Romero of Albuquerque, N.M., Carol Sue and Kenneth Hatton of Texarkana and Mary Beth and Steven Edwards of Matthews, N.C.; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ben Pessel and Danny and Rita Pessel of Texarkana; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. <br />Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Rose Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Matt Wood officiating. Private burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. <br />Memorials may be made to Rose Hill Baptist Church Community Missions or World Missions, 1707 W.
