Roger C. Bruce

Roger C. Bruce passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at his home in Simms, Texas. He was 68. Roger was born November 23, 1953 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Herbert C. and Freda Jeanette Bunnell Bruce. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Mechanic for Red River Army Depot and DLA. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Sharon Kay Mayes Bruce; three sons, Herbert C. Bruce, Jason Beggs, and C.R. Reed; and one brother, Randy Bruce. He is survived by one daughter, Randie Bruce-Addy and her husband, John of Simms, Texas; three sons, John Kelly Bruce of Little Rock, Arkansas, Jeff Beggs and his wife, Kellie of Simms, Texas, and Brady Wisinger and his wife, Sara of Clarksville, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Gary Jones of New Boston, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Kathy Bruce of Hooks, Texas; ten grandchildren, Sarah Bruce, Justin Jackson, J.J. Beggs, Samantha Beggs, Taytum Beggs, Heather Beggs, Vivienne Wisinger, James Dylan Wisinger, Brady Proctor, and Rebekah Bruce; and one special friend, Henry Griffin; and numerous other relatives and friends. Services will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Roy Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Pulaski Cemetery in New Boston, Texas.
