JOYCE KENNEDY

Joyce Kennedy, age 83, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 10, 2022 in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. She was born August 5, 1938, in Queen City, Texas to Sanford and Pearl Crow. Joyce attended church at Open Door Baptist Church. She was the Executive Assistant to the President of Ilisagvik College in North Slope Borough, Alaska. Joyce loved meeting new people. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Terri Ekalook; and son in law, Ronnie Lance. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 55 years, Pat Kennedy of Atlanta, Texas; two sons, Pat Kennedy, Jr and wife Diana of Atlanta, Texas, Ron Faubion and wife Dena of Benton, Arkansas; three daughters, Debbie Stiles and husband David of Atlanta, Texas, Carolyn Lance of Fort Collins, Colorado; Donna Kennedy of Sterling, Alaska; son in law, Harris Ekalook; nineteen grandchildren, Jason, Clint, Kevin, Kasie, Kyle, Kristen, Jared, Dusty, Brian, Amy, Matt, Ben, Aaron, Anthony, Tabitha, Loryn, Danielle, Holly, Caleb; forty three great grandchildren; brother, Ernest Crow and wife Betty; sister, Carol Eakman; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, April 14, 2022 at First Baptist Church, Queen City, with Dennis Gibbons officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Hanner Funeral Service. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery. Guest registry is available at www.hannerfuneralservice.com.
