M. Jeff Shirley, Jr., 84, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was a retired Senior Vice-President at Regions Bank of Texarkana, AR, a member of Burnville Baptist Church, Greenwood, AR and an honorably discharged First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He was survived by his wife, Brenda Shirley; one daughter, Rose Springfield and husband, Clark of Bryan, TX; two sons, Jeff Shirley, III and wife, Diana of Greenwood and Rob Engster and wife, Devan of Fort Smith; two brothers, Zack Shirley and wife, Cynthia of DeRidder, LA and Herbert Shirley and wife, Anne of Elton, LA; one sister-in-law, Susan Shirley of Austin, TX; six grandchildren, Drew Engster and Kenzie Engster; Jarrod and Kristina Gordon, Jeremy and Danielle Gordon, six great grandchildren, Grace, Emma and Savannah Gordon, Madi Sims, Harper Gordon and Charlotte Gordon and several special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Wilma (Jones) Shirley and one brother, Charles Ray Shirley. There will be a memorial service 4:30 p.m Tuesday, April 19 at Burnville Baptist Church in Greenwood, officiated by Rev. Grady Glass and Dr. Clark Springfield with a meal to follow. At a later date, a celebration of life service will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in DeRidder, Louisiana. Cremation is under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Burnville Baptist Church or Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in memory of Jeff.
