Dorothy Jean Kirk Lee

Dorothy Jean Kirk Lee of Oak Grove, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at a Denison, Texas care facility. She was 90. Dorothy was born September 1, 1931 in Oak Grove, Texas to E.L. and Lucille Young Kirk. She was a retired teacher and a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association. Dorothy was a member of First United Methodist Church in De Kalb, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy James Lee; one sister, Mary Ann Tucker; and multiple sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Beja and Rob Mlinarich of Pottsboro, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Amy Lee of Bryan, Texas; one brother, Dan Kirk of Hawkins, Texas; one sister, Helen Webb of Guthrie, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, James Robert Elrod of Rockwall, Texas, Paul Michael Elrod of Oak Grove, Texas, Hayden Telford Lee of Dallas, Texas, and Hanna Kathryn Lee of Bryan, Texas; six great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Robby Bates officiating. Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.
