JOSEPH JACKSON

Joseph E. “Skip” Jackson entered the Earthly realm on October 22, 1948, to the parentage of the late Emory Hamilton and Luella Jackson. Joseph transitioned to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Joseph became a member of the Polly Chapel Missionary Baptist Church on August 19, 1998, under the pastorate of the late Rev. R.A. McCurry. He attended church regularly until his health began to fail. “Skip” was known for his style of dress. His attire matched completely including his suit, hat, and shoes. He attended and helped prepare food for Brotherhood meetings on Saturday mornings. Joseph was a lead singer for the Male Chorus. He had a special place where he sat on Sundays. Joseph always sat in a folding chair near the piano. He genuinely loved his church. Joseph performed general maintenance services and retired from Texana Tank Car & Manufacturing. Joseph spent his recreational time fishing. He loved to fish! Joseph united in holy matrimony to Sandra Huey on January 15, 2012. Joseph leaves to honor and cherish his memory: his wife, Sandra Huey Jackson of Texarkana, TX; siblings, children and a host of other relatives and friends.
