LIDA JONES

Lida “Faye” Wade Jones was born October 28, 1948 to the union of the late Burman Wade Sr. and Ophelia Burns Wade in New Boston, TX. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and was a faithful member of the New Zion Baptist Church. She attended Central High School and graduated from New Boston High School in 1967. On June 17, 1970, Faye was united in marriage to T.F. Jones Jr. and to this union three sons were born. She worked as a teacher’s aide and a substitute for the New Boston Independent School District, retiring after 31 years of service. Her legacy and love for teaching and learning were felt in the lives that she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, one son, Terry Jones, brothers Walter Wade, Charles Wade Sr. and Alton Wade Sr., sisters Shirley Wade Pierce and Azell Jean Compton. Left to cherish her special memory are two loving sons, Dwayne L. Jones and Dwight L. Jones of New Boston, TX, brothers Will A. Wade, Berman (Dora) Wade Jr of Killeen, TX, Herman Wade and Norman Wade of New Boston, TX and William Beasley of Hooks, TX, sisters Gloria Brooks and Eddie Mae (Lawrence) Sadler of New Boston and Asa (Terry) Scroggins of Texarkana, TX, a special daughter Monica Renee’ Wade of Richardson, TX, Mom#2 to Neisha Sadler Davis of Richmond, TX and a special great nephew Zakyis “Z” Moorehines of Texarkana, AR. She also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, former students and friends to cherish her memories. Visitation for Mrs. Jones will be 5-7PM Thursday.
