Ricky Sherman

Ricky Dean Sherman, age 67, of Fort Worth, Texas, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 8, 2022 at his residence. Ricky was born August 7, 1954, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to S.D. “Jim” and Dorothy Sisk Sherman. He was a retired long-haul truck driver; a welder; and a Christian. Ricky served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, S.D. “Jim” and Dorothy Sisk Sherman; brother, Jimmie Sherman; and nephews, Eric Sherman and Michael Ray. He is survived by three children, Rick Sherman and wife Stacey of Winnsboro, Texas, Deena Sherman Arterbury of Fort Worth, Texas; Brian Gifford of Bend, Oregon; a brother, Waylon “Keith” Sherman; sister, Gala Sherman; five grandchildren, Brent Arterbury, Summer Arterbury, Jake Sherman, Ryan Thomas, Alex Hageman; and a number of other relatives and a host of friends. Graveside services will be 1:30 pm, Friday, February 11, 2022 in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211, with Military Rites.
