William A. Giles, Jr. age 87, of Bright Star, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord Sunday, February 6, 2022, in Texarkana, Texas. William was born October 24, 1934, in Bright Star, Arkansas, to William, Sr. and Hariotte Giles. He was a Farmer and Cattle Rancher who loved his life on the farm. He was a member of McCoy Church of the Nazarene where he served as treasurer, board member and Sunday school teacher. He was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Liam Hamilton; brothers, Roger Giles and Raymond Curtis Giles; and by his parents. William is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nola Giles of Bright Star, Arkansas; three children, Billy Giles and wife Jackie of Bloomburg, Texas, Anita Woodruff and husband Randy of Atlanta, Texas, Karen Sams and husband David of Bright Star, Arkansas; two sisters, Ann Brown, and Emma Sams and husband Dennis both of Texarkana, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Amber Jaynes, Kristen Via, Tanner Martin, Trevor Giles, Brittany Sheffield, Sawyer Sams, Graham Sams, Zach Giles, Hallie Woodruff, Will Woodruff; five great-grandchildren, Jaylin Hamilton, Noah Sheffield, Greyson Sheffield, Sayler Sheffield, Jett Martin; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 10, 2022, in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Burnett and Dennis Sams officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service. Interment will be in Macedonia Cemetery. Guest registry is available at www.hannerfuneralservice.com.
