JIMMIE SMITH SR.

Jimmie Lee Smith Sr., 71, of Maud, TX, joined our Father in heaven Feb. 8, 2022, at his home. Jimmie was born Dec. 13, 1950, in Texarkana, Ark. He was a proud Marine and Vietnam Veteran. He was an avid crappie angler, an ex-race car driver, and an avid race fan. He was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Mack Smith and Esther Durham, brother David Smith, and grandson Jim Larry Smith. Jimmie is survived by his wife Deborah Smith of Maud, TX, sister Sissy Privitt of Texarkana, TX, children: Jim Bob McFerrin of Fouke, Ark., Emily Smith of Maud, TX, Janetta and Jimmie Smith 2nd of Arkinda, Ark., Jason and Sarah Roach of DeKalb, TX, Teressa and Sean Weatherway of Long Mount, Colo., Lisa Tittle of Lexington, Alabama, Laney Hillis of Bullhead City, Ark., Kris Hensley of Lone Star, TX, and Tommy Sauceda of Texarkana, Ark., grandchildren, Robin, Jacob, Justin, Cason Jr., Jared, Hunter, Abby, Shaunna, Kristy, Dustin, Cody, Jessie Tyler, Jesse, Chris, Melissa, Hanna, and Layla, great-grandchildren, Violet, Audrey, Haven, Bryston, Brynleigh, Dakota, Grayson, Maddie and Charlie. Jimmie’s memorial service will be Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Old Union Crosslife Church, Hwy 67, Simms, TX. …and “Hey! “SinceUwas” give some love from us down here.”
