Harlan Ray Jones

Harlan Ray Jones, age 66, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022, in a local hospital. Mr. Jones was born July 29, 1955, in West Helen, Arkansas, and lived in Texarkana most of his life. He was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Texarkana, Arkansas. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing lawnmowers with his friend Reggie when he retired. Harlan loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family. He also found pleasure and relaxation in riding horses across the back trails, pastureland, and countryside. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Jones, and three grandchildren. He is survived by one son and his fiancé, Barry Jones, and his fiancé Terri Pool of Texarkana, Arkansas; two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Dewayne and Jillana Holden of Russellville, Arkansas; Joe and Danielle Holden of Kilgore, Texas; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Sandy and Doug Irby of Snow Lake Shore, Mississippi; and Joyce Johnson of Florence, Alabama; eight grandchildren, Ryan Jones, Isabella Jones, Anthony Morlas, Tyler Haddock, and Tanner Haddock, McKenzie Holden, Morgan Holden, Najo Holden, Paris Holden, and Micah Holden and four great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and other relatives. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A. M. Friday, February 18, 2022, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with Rev. Sam Martinez officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.
