ALLENE JONES

Allene Jones was born to Charlies Miller and Sarah Harrison on February 16, 1918, in Tom Oklahoma. She passed away February 16, 2022, in Idabel at the ripe age of 104. She accepted Christ at an early age at the New Dora Baptist Church under Pastor Booker. Allene was a faithful member of the Mt. Orange Baptist Church for 70 years. She was the Chairman of the Mission Ministers. Circle member of Class #2. Sunday school and member of the sick and shut in Ministry member for fifty years. Allene moved to Idabel Oklahoma to live with her niece Sarah Dillahunty in 2010 and Joined Plainview Baptist Church under Pastor John H. Scott. For the past five years she was under the leadership of Pastor Jesse E. Hooper. Allene attended grade school in Tom, Oklahoma, and completed her high school education in Hooks Texas. After High School she moved to Texarkana where she met and married Albert Jones. To this union two sons were born, Reedy Mack and Ira Joe Jones. Allene was preceded in death by her parents Charlie Miller and Sarah Harrison, her husband Albert Jones, two sons: Reedy Mack and Ira Joe Jones, one brother Otto Miller and one sister Mary Miller. She is survived by one granddaughter Tomika Spratt, one great granddaughter Keyerin Spratt, twos grandsons J. J. Jones and children Jacoby and Morgan Jones, Darrel Jones and wife and two sons, Great Granddaughter Juanita Wickware (Billy)several nieces (Auntie) Sarah Dillahunty, Bobbie Jean Walker and her daughter Shelia Simpson, and a host of nephews and other relatives. A Graveside Service is set for 1 pm Saturday February 26th, 2022, at the Nash Cemetery in Nash Texas with Pastor Johnny Riley officiating. Interment will follow at the Cemetery.
