MARY HARKRADER

Mary L. Ternes Harkrader, age 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2022. Mary was born on February 28, 1932 in Columbus, Nebraska, the daughter of Bill & Mabel Ternes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; one son, Larry Harkrader; and a sister, Patricia Ternes. Mary is survived by her children, Jerry and wife, Shelly Harkrader of Surprise, Arizona and Jane Douglass & husband, Pat of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 3 grandchildren, Aaron Douglass, Allison Thomas of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Tara Harkrader of Omaha, Nebraska; 4 great-grandchildren, Hudson, Mackensie & Declan of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Harrison of Omaha, Nebraska; her sisters, Pamela Bauske of Arroyo Grande, California; Roberta McMahon & Bob of Texarkana, Texas; and a brother, Richard Ternes and wife, Nancy of Walton, Nebraska. Mary was a very talented artist and very active in her church in Sun City, Arizona. She also was a wonderful gardener, bridge player and hostess. Funeral services will be held in Sun City, Arizona a later date.
