Donald Wayne James, age 89, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, at his home. He was retired from Red River Army Depot and a Veteran of the United States Army where he served in Korea and Germany. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, wood working and running trot lines. He was a member of West Side Church of Christ in New Boston. He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd James; mother, Vada Williams; son, Timothy Paul James; sister, Leta Faye Langford, and brother, Reginald Williams. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Nancy James of DeKalb, Texas; his daughter and son-in-law, Joni and John Walton of New Boston, Texas; his son and daughter-in-law, Cliff and Taryn James of Miami, Florida; his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kimberly James of New Boston, Texas; his brother and sister-in-law, James and Sylvia Williams of New Boston, Texas; six grandchildren, John P.K. Walton, Sohn Walton, Sean Norris, Sheena Norris Johnson, Madalynn James and Kaleb James; eight great-grandchildren, Winston Walton, Weaver Walton, Wren Walton, P.K. Walton, Holly Walton, Abigail Norris, Amelia Norris, and Sawyer Rose Norris; and numerous other relatives and friends. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Corinth Church of Christ in Fouke, Arkansas with Eddie Higgs and Buddy Nall officiating. Interment will follow at Corinth Cemetery in Fouke, Arkansas under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
