Sept 13. 1947 – Jan 27, 2022 It is with great sadness and loving memory that we share the sudden death of David. David grew up in Locust Bayou, Ark with his parents Nell Rose and E.E. (Footsie) Coston and little brother Jim Bo Coston who all preceded him in death. David died peacefully in a local hospital, with Jeanie, his wife at his side. All that knew him will comment on this unusual, kind, loving, generous, and truly funny fun-loving man. He loved many and was loved by many. To quote his friends, “He was a legend, and the stories of his life will be shared by others for forever.” David achieved the important things in life: knowing God, loving his country, his family, and his friends. He was a member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church, a Marine, and an individual with a loving family and friends. David, Papa, Ditty, Flash, Sargent, Cowboy and Little Footsie you will forever be in our hearts and missed dearly by Jeanie and her two sons and daughter-in-law, David and Kathy Carlock and Jerry Carlock. His three beautiful granddaughters and two grandsons: Brittney Hall Knapp (Louie), Rachel Garrett (Matt) and Sarah Carlock. Three darling great-grandbabies: Ellyson, Everett (little Red Bone) and Quentin Knapp. His brother, Ed Wood, Teresa Shockley and the Whitten’s, Tom, Debbie, Hailey and Hensley. Semper- Fi Arrangements are with Chapelwood Funeral Home.
