Martha Lee Mudford Wallace

Martha Lee Mudford Wallace, age 81, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Martha was born on January 10, 1941, in Fouke, Arkansas, to Toronto and Mary Mudford. She was the eighth child out of ten children. She graduated from Genoa Central High School and loved playing basketball, where she received a trophy for the Most Valuable Player her senior year. She was a homemaker and a member of Beech Street First Baptist Church and the Genoa Central Alumni Association. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Toronto and Mary Mudford of Fouke, Arkansas; her husband of fifty years, Johnny Wallace Jr.; her siblings, Charlean Luttrell of Warren, Oregon, Troy Mudford of Arcata, California, Marnell Cox of Riverside, California, Charles Mudford of Fouke, Arkansas, Gene Mudford of Fouke, Arkansas, and Zora Wilson of Doddridge, Arkansas. Martha is survived by siblings, Ceburn Mudford of Fouke, Arkansas, Genette Norman of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Wanda Adcock of Texarkana, Arkansas; her children, Debrah (Curtis) Dyer of Texarkana, Arkansas, Greg (Donna) Wallace of Fouke, Arkansas, Mary Huddleston of Wake Village, Texas, Glen (Denise) Wallace of Texarkana, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Amarylis Wallace of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Audra (Jarrod) Washington of Richmond Hill, Georgia, Kurtis (Loren) Dyer of Texarkana, Arkansas, Kayla Ward of Texarkana, Texas, Paige Huddleston of Temple, Texas, Jacob Wallace of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Meg Wallace of Texarkana, Arkansas; seven great-grandchildren, Allie, Avery and Ainsley Washington, Braylen and Preston Dyer, Addyson Ward, and Treyson Shepard. Lots of cousins, nieces, nephews, and her friends at Windsor Cottage. Martha will be greatly missed by all her family, whom she dearly loved. A celebration of her life will be at 10:00 AM Friday morning at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas Chapel, with Rev. Josh Mudford officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
