Marian Gertrude Johnston

Jan 20, 1930—June 18, 2022 Marian Gertrude Horton Johnston passed away peacefully on June 18, 2022 at the age of 92. She was born on January 20 1930 in Greenville North Carolina to Rufus and Clara Horton. Marian married the love of her life Jerry Johnston on November 10th 1951. Marian was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years Jerry Johnston, her mother and father Rufus and Clara Horton, 4 sisters, Annie Mae Horton, Edith Smith, Ruth Doss, Levine Gaulder, and her three brothers David Horton Sr., RC Horton and William Horton. Marian is survived by her five children Sue Alford of Royal ark, Patricia Jones of Cabot Ark, Sarah (Gary) Williams of Texarkana,Texas, Mary (James) Bradshaw of Ashdown Ark and Danny (Tammy) Johnston of Ashdown Ark. She is also survived by seven Grandchildren, eleven great Grandchildren, and one brother Bernard Horton of Garland Texas along with a host of relatives and family. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M Saturday July 9th at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Texarkana, Ark. The family will be receiving guests at 305 Stone Road after the service.
