ARTHUR DAWSON

Arthur Wayne Dawson, age 78, of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022, in a local nursing facility. Mr. Dawson was born on February 1, 1944, in Foreman, Arkansas to his parents, Vernon and Faye Broomfield Dawson. He served honorably in the Army Reserves and Army National Guard for over 33 years also retiring from Cooper Tire after 33 years. He also had a passion for bowling. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marilyn Bunn; his sons, Darrell Wayne Dawson, Lonnie Glenn Dawson, Donny Lynn Dawson; his sister, Reba Lowery; and his brother, Jerry Bob Dawson. Left to cherish his memory is one son, Jeffery Dean Dawson and wife Christy; two sisters, Francis Turner and husband Richard, Jama Allerheiligen; stepchildren, Stephanie Sutton, Jeff Castle; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Arrangements are under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
