DOUGLAS PHELPS

Douglas Kaai Phelps was born February 7, 1951 in Aiea, HI to Claudia Dudoit Kaai and Conrad Dudoit Kaai. In 1958 he was adopted by Richard Phelps, SR. Doug passed away July 12 from a massive stroke at the young age of 71 in Tyler, TX. Cremation services by Borne-Conner Funeral Home. Doug was a warehouse supervisor at Defense Distribution Depot Red River, Texarkana, TX. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Married to Darlene McCasland Phelps for nearly 35 years. His children are daughter Allison Phelps , son Jason Phelps and stepsons Dusty Whatley and Ken Whatley (Amanda). Sister Sandra Schiattone (Ken), brothers Dennis Phelps (Chung) Richard Phelps (Joette). Two half-sisters Alvah and Allyson Kaai, three-half brothers Arthur, Corney and Albert Kaai from the Hawaiian Islands. Five granddaughters Ella Heise, Lexee Whatley, Lanee Whatley, Railey Whatley and Kaylee Phelps and grandson Jaxson Heise. Brothers in law Michael (Darla) Mitchell (Terry) and Mark (Sonya) sister in law Susan Pope. Bonus grandson Cooper Miles. Preceded in death by grandson Tanner Yoder. Doug was baptized in the Presbyterian Church! He had a love for classic cars, jet boats and grandkids!
