Mary Whitlow

Mary Louise Draper Whitlow, age 92, of Queen City, Texas, went to be with the Lord Monday, July 25, 2022. Mary was born July 3, 1930, in Queen City, Texas to Will and Vivian Draper. Mary was a member of First Baptist Church, Queen City. She was a choir member and also was church treasurer at one time. She was a homemaker and also worked at Grogan’s Department Store. She was a member of Oak Grove Quilting Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Edward Whitlow, her parents, her sister, Birdie; her brothers, J.C. and James; her daughter, Jo; and a grandson, Bubba Kirkland. She is survived by three daughters, Judy Upchurch and husband Gary, Janette Coats and husband J.W., Jean Cothren and husband David; son, John Whitlow and wife Judi; sister, Sue Easley; sister-in-law, Linda Michels and husband Ken; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at First Baptist Church, Queen City, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Bro. Billy Rex Sheets officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service. Interment will be in Queen City Cemetery.
