DORIS McDONALD

Mrs. Doris Laverne Larry McDonald was born November 10, 1956 in Kiblah, Arkansas to the late Mr. & Mrs. Willie (Girlene) Larry of Kiblah, Arkansas. Doris was baptized at an early age. She worked various jobs in Texarkana until her health began to fail. She was a loving, sweet, caring person, and a wonderful cook. The sunset of Doris’s life set on Wednesday morning, July 20, 2022 at her home. Her husband Sammie McDonald, brother, William Washington, and sister Carolyn Lane preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Corey (Melissa) Kelley, Texarkana; two daughters, Shakeitha & Tomeka Kelley both of Texarkana; three brothers, Sam (Carolyn) Larry, Flint, MI, Glenn (Diane) Larry, Texarkana and Willie (Betty) Larry, Little Rock, AR; three sisters, Patrick (Kenneth) Caldwell, Gonzales, TX, Betty Simington, and Gail Simington both of Texarkana; one great aunt, Bernice Larry, Kansas City, MO; twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews cousins and other relatives and friends. Visitation hours will be 3:00-5:00 P.M. Friday at Lyles Funeral Home, Inc., Texarkana A Homegoing Celebration service for Mrs. McDonald will be Saturday, July 30, at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, Doddridge, Arkansas with the Rev.
