WAYNE POTEET

Healed, whole, and with his Savior, Wayne Poteet, 78 years old of Hooks, Texas, is free of the burdens of this life after a hard-fought, lengthy, but always courageous battle with cancer. Among those greeting Wayne in Heaven are: his parents Howard and Noma Poteet; parents-in-law Bill and Novis Vahle; sister and brother-in-law Doris and Nick Sunseri; sister-in-law Mary Ann Vahle; brother-in-law Dwight Vahle, and other extended family members and dear friends. Treasuring Wayne’s memory are: his beloved wife of 55 years, Gwen Vahle Poteet; daughters Penny Poteet Wright (Nathan) and Inger Poteet Escamilla (Richard); brother Carl Poteet (Sherill); grandchildren Ella and Madelyn Wright, Hunter Lonas, and Matthew Escamilla; brothers and sisters-in-law Tom Vahle, Linda Vahle, Bill and Wanda Vahle, and Tina and Ken Hignight. Wayne is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.
