Roy Calvin Dupree, age 81, went to be with the Lord, Friday, March 4, 2022, at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born March 14, 1940 in Queen City, Texas to Leroy and Marie Dupree. Roy was a member of Tanglewood Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from Swepco. He enjoyed spending time at the farm, hunting squirrel and deer, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Roy is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen King; brother, Jerry Dupree; son in law, Larry Quinn; and two grandchildren, Rowdy Bland and Leslie Quinn. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jane Dupree of Atlanta, Texas; three daughters, Teresa Brown and husband Buddy of Bloomburg, Texas, Lisa Quinn of Atlanta, Texas, Sally Sheets and husband Clayton of Maud, Texas; two brothers, Billy Dupree and wife Peggy of Atlanta, Texas, Kenneth Dupree and wife Kay of Atlanta, Texas; two granddaughters, Caitlin Sheets of Wake Village, Texas, Janie Miller and husband C.J. of Bivins, Texas; three great grandchildren, John Paul Miller, James Luke Miller, Joseph David Miller; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Tanglewood Missionary Baptist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Rev. Gary McNatt, Rev. Clayton Sheets and Mike Benson officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Hanner Funeral Service. Interment will be in Beech Creek Cemetery.
