Roy Lee Thomas was born in Texarkana, Texas September 4, 1959, to the late Mary Thomas and Nathaniel Thomas Sr. God called him home on February 28, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Charlie Thomas, two sisters; Dorothy Davis & Daisy Thurson one grandson; Rickalon Young and many others relatives. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He attended Liberty-Eylau High School. He was employed with Encompass Health and Rehab Center of Texarkana for 16 years until his time of death. Ray “Roy” Thomas was known for his cheering smile and was a friend to many. He will be missed by all who knew him. Most of all, he enjoyed time with his large family including his children. He was a clean dresser, most of all he was well known for his smooth dance moves that would bring laughter to everyone, He was also known to drive some of the cleanest old school cars and was a active member of the Mustang Car Club located in Redwater. He was well known as a great car detailer. He leaves to cherish his memory: Common Law Spouse of 26 years: Sherron Brown of Texarkana, Texas. Three Sons: Javourus Tyson, Adren Brown and Darius Tyson all of Texarkana, TX. Three Daughters: Floronica Brown, Cymone Thomas, Latrina Brown all of Texarkana, TX. Three Brothers; Macie (Shirley) Thomas, Bobby (Marjorie) Thomas, Nathaniel (Almer) Thomas all of Texarkana, TX. Four Sisters: Lizzie Thomas, Alice (Larry) White, Geraldine (Earnest) Smith, Cozetta French. One daughter-in-law: Tyranjula Brown of Texarkana, TX. He also loved his 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Visitation Friday, March 11, 2022 from 3:00-5:00 P.M. Funeral Service Saturday, March 12, 2022 at House of Refuge at 2:00 PM with Pastor Roy Bailey, Eulogist. Burial in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of Jones Stuart Mortuary. MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIRED.
