RICKEY HAGGINS

Rickey Junior Haggins, age 74, of Texarkana, Texas went to his heavenly home on Tuesday March 8, 2022. He was born December 30, 1947 in Marvell, Arkansas to Dottie and Floyd Haggins. Rickey had a love for life and a passion for spending time and connecting with people. He owned and operated Rick Haggins Tree Service since 1983 in the Texarkana area. Rickey also had a lifelong passion for flying. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and a friend to many. Including two special friends Frank Addcock, and Rodney Garrison who all shared the same interest in flying. As well a inspirational mentor Joe Narrons tree specialist. Also a few lifelong friends David Henly and Roland Pirky. Rickey was a quiet and gentle man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed gardening and would share his vegetables with his friends and neighbors every summer. He was a well respected man and was loved by everyone. When he was not busy you could find Rickey relaxing and enjoying his time, living life to the fullest with his wife making memories along the way. He was loved and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Billy, Buckshot, Troy, and Trent. Also preceded in death by a daughter Dottie Joe and one granddaughter, Marrisa Owens. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Melissa of twelve years. Two sons Rickey Junior, Rickey Joe, and one step son Cruze Hernandez. Three daughters Tericia and Dewayne Gamble, Donette and Walter Griffen, and Kim Rodgers. Including one special son in law Kenneth Self. Nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Including one special nephew Stephen and Karen Lucroy and one special niece Diane Akin. Two brothers Robert and Jerry. Four sisters Joyce and Charles Lucroy, Linda and Bill Everhart, Patty and Rodger Jenkins and Debbie and Dale Whitted. A celebration of life ceremony will be held on Saturday March 26, 2022 at Rickey’s home at 33 Dan Michael Drive Texarkana, Texas at 3 pm.
