Kathy Jane Haggard Spell

Kathy Jane Haggard Spell passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 of Multiple Myeloma at her home in Alvin, Texas. She was 66. Kathy was born March 6, 1956 in New Boston, Texas to Joseph Weldon and Varlon Marie Burns Haggard. She was a homemaker and caregiver. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and brother-in-law, Willie Jo and Gilbert Simmons; one brother, Irvin Haggard; one great niece, Crystal Simmons Whetzel; and one great nephew, Irvin Haggard, Jr. . She is survived by her husband of thirty eight years, Rodney Spell; her children, Alison and Tommy Cross, Robert and Audrey Joyner and Carl and Beverly Spell; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Billy Haggard, Jimmy Haggard, and Tony and Tina Haggard; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose and Paul Castro and Kay and Terry Rumph; grandchildren, Bobby and Rebecca Johnson, Ashly and John Grossman, Matthew and Makenzie Spell, Cheyanne and Landon Whitmire, Brooke Linder, Shelby Linder, and Michael Joyner; great grandchildren, Avery Whitmire, and Hayden Spell; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Magnolia Cemetery in New Boston, Texas with Bro. James Boyd Strain officiating.
