Everett Thompson Jr.

March 8, 1939 - May 9, 2022 Everett Magellan “Tommy” Thompson Jr, born March 8, 1939, in Mena, AR, passed from this life on May 9, 2022, at his home in Wake Village, TX. He was 83 years old. Everett is preceded in death by parents Everett Sr and Daisy (Olivet) Thompson; brother Glenn Evo Thompson; and sister Florence Samaniego. He is survived by his wife Mary (Henry) Thompson of Wake Village TX; son Tommy Thompson and wife Carla of Texarkana TX; daughter Deana Parrish and husband Randy of Spring TX; stepsons Jeffrey Blaauw and wife Toy of Texarkana TX, and Jason Blaauw of El Dorado AR; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family and friends. Everett attended Texas High School and Midwest Christian College. He honorably served our country in the Army National Guard. He was a member of Northwood Presbyterian Church, where he served as Deacon. Everett is being cremated under the direction of Queen City Funeral Home in Queen City TX. A memorial service in his honor will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 11:00am at Northwood Presbyterian Church at 5800 Richmond Rd Texarkana TX 75503. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made directly to the church for their mission work.
