JAMES McFERRAN

James B. “Jim” McFerran, age 83, of Texarkana, AR passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022. Jim was born December 29, 1938 in Charleston, AR. He was a Christian; member of the Presbyterian Church; and retired from TISD after many years of dedicated service as an administrator, math teacher and golf coach. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Sue McFerran and a daughter Lisa Kelley. Survivors include his two daughters and sons-in-law, Carla and Charles Simpson of Wake Village, TX and Tammy and Bobby Henderson of Texarkana, AR; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Cindy McFerran of Athens, AL; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Friday, May 13, 2022 at Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating. Burial is under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.
