KERRY SMITH

Kerry Smith of Ashdown, AR was born September 4, 1939. She passed from this life on May 26, 2022. Kerry was a member of Central Baptist Church of Ashdown. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, R.J. “Shorty” Smith, one brother, Buddy Wilson and a daughter, Kim Chriestenson. Kerry is survived by two sons and their wives, Roddy and Tammy Smith of Dierks, AR and Connie and Ronnie (Shorty) Smith of Ben Lomond, AR, her sister, Sharon Smart of New Boston, TX, her son-in-law, Roy Chriestenson of Ashdown, AR, her grandchildren, Roddy J. Smith III of Naples, TX, Ron Smith and Russell Smith of Ben Lomond, AR, Amanda Chriestenson of Ashdown, AR, Koree Parker and Kyle Jones of Dierks, AR, Kesha Stapp of Foreman, AR and Kim Newton of Texarkana and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, May 27, 2022 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown. Services will be Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 2:00 at Central Baptist Church in Ashdown with Ronnie (Shorty) Smith and Brother Don Embry officiating. Interment will follow at Ashdown Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Ron and Russell Smith, Roddy Smith III, Adam Dellinger, Stacy, Jake and Jared Day and Colby Dellinger.
