James Lewis ‘Teddy’ English, 82 of Fort Worth, TX departed this earth on Saturday, September 23, 2022. He was born in Hope, Arkansas on June 17, 1940, to the late James and Fellice (Richie) English. He was an active member at Oak Grove Baptist Church for many years. He graduated from Blevins High School. He relocated to Los Angeles, CA shortly after graduation. He pursued his career at Greyhound until he relocated back to Hope, AR where he pursued a career in the poultry industry until he retired. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Bobbie (Taylor) English, on June 14, 1964, and they remained happily married until his departure. “Teddy” loved family, restoring automobiles, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Fellice English, one brother, Tommie C. English, and three sisters, Nina English Nunerley, Sammie Dell English, and Mabel English Haynes. One son, James Eezon English. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Bobbie Taylor English of Fort Worth, TX; three sons, Barry (Joeann) English of Fort Worth, TX, Larry (Larcie) of Irving, TX, Dezon (Karen) of Wichita, KS, and one daughter-in-law, Shelia English of Wichita, KS. One sister Mary Nell Miller Graves (Obray) of San Angelo, TX, and three sisters-in-law Novella English of Hope, AR Debbie Carrigan of Hope, AR, and Betty (David) Jones of Delmar, DE. Nine grandchildren, Seventeen Great-grandchildren One Great-Great Grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. The visitation will be Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 10 AM at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Hwy 332 Deann/Hope, Arkansas. The funeral service will begin at 11 AM with Pastor Patrick Gulley Officiating. The guest registry is at http://www.carriganmemorial.com.
