Thomas Townsend

Thomas Neal Townsend, age 68, of Fouke, Arkansas went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 21, 2022, in a local hospital surrounded by his family. Mr. Townsend was born June 6, 1954, in Texarkana, Arkansas. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church and was a veteran of United States Navy. He enjoyed reading good books, watching classic movies, and spending time at the river. He loved to cook and try new recipes. He was always looking forward to being able to prepare something new for his family to try. As much joy as it brought him to spend time at the river or in the kitchen, his family was the highlight of his life. There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Townsend was a caring, strong-willed, and loving man who always put his family first. He is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Townsend; his mother and stepfather, Betty and Bob Sullivan and his brother Donnie Townsend. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-six years, Sue Ann Townsend; three sons, Cutter Yount and his wife Hanna, Thomas Townsend and his wife Hollyn, John Townsend and his fiancé Summer; one sister, Karen Sorsby and her husband, Gary; five special grandchildren, Carsyn Yount, Jay’Lee Yount, Remi Yount, Malik Yount, BB Yount; his nieces and nephews, Sol and Annie Bridges, Steven and Samantha Sorsby, Aaliyah Sorsby, Ellis Sorsby, Norma Sorsby, Jeff Coleman and his wife Raven and a host of friends and other relatives.
