Susan Lynn Crissey Scales

On August 22, 2022 Susan Lynn Crissey Scales, a loving mother, friend and educator in Queen City, Texas, passed away. Susan was visited by many friends and family members during her final weeks and Golden Villa staff and Chambers Hospice took care of her until her final moments. Susan was born October 14, 1957 in Syracuse, New York. She moved throughout the states before finally meeting her husband, Charles, and settling in Queen City. Susan’s passion was teaching and being of service to the school and the community. She loved and was proud of her Queen City Bulldogs! Susan’s heart was in the Special Education Department where she flourished. She is survived by her husband, Charles Scales, Jr; three children, Melissa Scales, Sara Tellinger, Charles Scales III; three loving siblings; and a host of other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, September 3, 2022, at New Hope Baptist Church, with a potluck lunch to follow.
