Denver McRae, 67, of Albert Pike, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022. He was born February 24, 1955, in Bonham, Texas, the son of the late Bobbie Eugene and Wanda Deloris Horn McRae. On April 6, 1990, he married Janice Lynn Lowery. He was also preceded in death by grandparents, Ottis and Lula Horn and Clifford and Era McRae. Denver was a true man of faith, who loved his Lord and Savior with all his heart and was a faithful member of the Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church in Hot Springs. Everyone who knew Denver would agree that he was a genuinely great guy with a kind and loving heart. Denver deeply loved his family and friends; and there are not enough words to say how broken hearted our family and friends are that we have lost a great man, but take comfort in knowing that he is now walking those streets of gold in his cowboy hat and boots. Survivors include his loving wife, Janice McRae; children, John McRae, Bobie DeAnn (Jason) Grintz and Jamie Marie (Jason) Sidor; faithful chihuahua dog-child, Coco McRae; grandchildren, Garrett (Gyana) Grintz and Jason Samuel (Caraline) Grintz; great-granddaughter, Adalee Rose Grintz; special aunt, Sharon Shields of Glenwood; special brother/cousin, Nick (Rachel) Fowler, and their children, Brandon, Ty, Bailey, Whitley and Drew; very special friends, Brady Gore, Brad Rudolph and Gerrald Phillips; sister and brother-in-law, Debby and Tim Bean; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends. Funeral services were at 2:00PM, Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Bill Chesshir and Bro. Brian Pounds officiating. Visitation was held Tuesday, 6:00PM-8:00PM. Interment was in Langley Hall Cemetery. Guest registry is at www.smithfamilycares.com.
