They resided in Harleton for many years, moving later to the Dalby Springs community in Bowie County. After retirement, she continued farming and ranching on her family’s land around Dalby Springs, raising Hereford cattle and horses. She was at least the 4th generation of the Joiner family to farm there. Edna loved the outdoors; in her later years, she often sat outside enjoying the woods and the animals within them around her home. She is survived by two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law: Mary Minihan of Seminole, OK, and Leila and Gene Dixson of Oro Valley, AZ; cousins Martha Dalby of Longview, Debbie Dalby and Jonathan Dalby of Dalby Springs, and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jud; her sister-in-law Verlin Miller and husband Archie; her brother-in-law Jerry Minihan; and her cousin and neighbor James Dalby. A graveside service will be held at the Dalby Springs Cemetery on Sunday, October 2, at 2 PM.
