RUTH BELL

Ruth E. Bell was born January 22, 1932 to Chauncy & Ruby C. Bell in Texarkana, TX. She was a graduate of Macedonia High School class of 1950 and later attended Texarkana College to obtain her LPN license. She worked at Wadley Hospital, Texarkana, TX and St. Michael Hospital, Texarkana, AR for four years and then went to work at Lone Star Ammunition Plant for many years until retirement. Ruth was very active in her Eastern Star Chapter and the Macedonia Eylau Senior Citizens for many years. She was a faithful member of the Macedonia Baptist Church for many years until her death. Ruth was a choir member and always loved singing. She enjoyed helping people whenever she could and never turned anyone away in need. She also enjoyed cooking and making sure there was enough food in case someone dropped by. Ruth transitioned from time to eternity on Saturday, September 24, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Reginald Bell, a sister, Louise Clipper, and grandson, Brandon Bell. She leaves to carry on her legacy: son, William (Tanya) Bell; daughter, Latashia Williams; sister, Betty (Clarence) Strong; grandchildren, William Bell Jr., Ryan R. Bell, Amber N. Bell, Joseph Minnefield and Joshua (Laken) Minnefield; 9 great-grandchildren; special friend, Norma Vaughn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation for Mrs. Bell will be from 5 to 7 PM Friday at Haynes Mortuary. Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, October 31 at Macedonia Baptist Church.
