DIANNE JAMISON

Dianne Marie Jamison was born July 9, 1961 in Texarkana, Texas to Doris Smith-Ford and raised by her stepfather, the late Johnny Ford, Sr. She departed this life on Friday, March 3, 2023. Dianne accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Texarkana, Texas. She was a graduate of Texas High School class of 1979 as well as a long-time employee of TISD until her health caused her to retire. Dianne was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ira and Hazel Smith, uncle, Ira SMith, Jr., aunt, Betty Smith, brother, Norris Smith, and niece, Nakisha Smith. She leaves to cherish loving memories: mother, Doris Smith-Ford of Texarkana, TX; children, Bridget and Brytni Jamison of Texarkana, TX; brothers, Horace (Marilyn) Smith of Texarkana, TX and Johnny Ford, Jr. of Beaumont, TX; sisters, Doris Collins and Vickie Vital of Texarkana, TX; uncles, Jimmie Smith and Willie Smith of Texarkana, TX and Corzine Smith of Hemet, CA; aunts, Mary Owens, Elizabeth Lane and Helen Sanders of Texarkana, TX and Margaret (Wayne) Criner of Menifee, CA; grandsons, Day’Jon Jamison and Demetris Jefferson of Texarkana, TX; granddaughters, Ja’Niyah Jamison and Karmen Jefferson of Texarkana, TX and the soon-to-be Kamari Marie Jefferson; nieces, LaCresha Collins, Ashley Collins, Tina White, LaKristal Martin (Delariel), Regina White, Aletha Smith and Shalika Dancer of Texarkana, TX and Kyeron Cooksey of Los Angeles, CA; an a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation for Ms. Jamison will be Friday, March 17 from 5 to 7 pm at Haynes Mortuary. Funeral service will be 11 AM Saturday, March 18 at the Oak Street Baptist Church.
