EDWARD McDOWELL

Edward A. “Eddie” McDowell 45, of Atlanta, Texas died February 27th, 2023. Eddie was born November 6, 1977 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He previously lived and was raised in Texarkana, Arkansas and attended Arkansas HIgh School. He was preceded in death by his father, Glen D. McDowell. Survivors include his mother, Johnnie McDowell, sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Russell Young, all of Atlanta, Texas. Four children, Kali McDowell of Canadian, Texas, Tyler Purifoy of Genoa, Arkansas and one granddaughter of Canadian, Texas. Niece, Emily (Carl) Kosub, nephews Hunter (Brooke) Yarberry of Atlanta, Texas and Alex Cogell of Arlington, Texas, Daniel (Brooke) Young of Queen City, Texas and Aaron (Renee) Young of Smackover, Arkansas and many great nieces and nephews. A private family memorial will be held in the Ouachita Mountains on the Little Missouri River which was his favorite place to spend time.
