SAMUEL RAMSEY

Samuel Pat Ramsey, of De Kalb, Texas, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023 at a local hospital. He was 84. Pat was born February 16, 1939, in De Kalb, Texas, to Floyd and Lora Martin Ramsey. He was retired from Red River Army Depot and was a life long Quail Hunter. Pat was a member of Maranatha Christian Center in De Kalb, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John D. Ramsey and William J. Ramsey; a sister, Oniece Ramsey; a grandson, James Daniel Collins; a great grandson, Isaiah Dean Wilbanks; and a son-in-law, Dan York. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Karen Jones Ramsey of De Kalb, Texas; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Kelly Ramsey of Boxelder, Texas, Brandon and Mande Ramsey of Lindale, Texas and Jeffrey and Heather Hornbuckle of De Kalb, Texas; three daughters and a son-in-law, Rhyna Ramsey of Dallas, Texas, Rebecca York of Tyler, Texas and Leta and Kevin Lemons of Texarkana, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren, Braley Gray, Ryan York, Kara Johnson, Noah Ramsey, Jessica Carstens, Autumn Collins, Samuel Collins, Hattie Collins, Alec Ramsey, Aden Ramsey and Harper Ramsey; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Maranatha Christian Center in De Kalb, Texas with Bro. Steve McMichael and Bro. Howard Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Hubbard Cemetery under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Maranatha Christian Center in De Kalb, Texas.
