PATRICIA WOOD

Patricia Anne Maxwell Haynes Wood was born January 23, 1943, in Lockesburg, AR, to Ernest Thomas Maxwell and Ruth (Prescott) Maxwell. She departed this earthly realm on March 19, 2023. Pat attended Texarkana High School and became an LVN, working at multiple clinics and teaching a nursing class one year, as well as holding various other jobs. She was a wonderful cook whose chicken fried steaks were unbeatable. Pat will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband: Mike Corkill; two sons: Larry Haynes and wife Cyndi, and Brian Haynes and wife Regina; sisters: Carole and Linda; brother: David; long-term friend: Pat Wallis; three stepchildren: Nathan Corkill and wife Krista, Drew Corkill and Bryn Hudson, and Melodie Camp; and one grandchild, five stepgrandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Ernest Maxwell and Ruth (Prescott) Maxwell; two sisters; and by her first husband. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Rockwall, TX. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday morning at the funeral home, prior to the service, beginning at 9:00am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, National Aphasia Association, or American Cancer Society.
