Miller County Sheriff's Office is looking for an 11-year-old boy who went missing in the area of County Road 168 and Capp City Road in Doddridge, Ark., at the corner of the Arkansas/Louisiana line, said Investigator Wesley Penny.

Sid Vause, 11, went for a walk about 4:45 p.m. on the county road wearing a blue shirt with "Call of Duty" printed in yellow letters on the front, khaki shorts and black tennis shoes, Penny said.

At 10:30 p.m., Sid had not been found, but Penny said he was not giving up.

"We have about 100 or more out here searching," Penny said. "We've got help from Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, all the volunteer fire departments, Caddo Parrish (Louisiana) and dogs from Caddo .. we are just searching the area that has any information where he was last known."

Penny said nearby Cass County Sheriff's Office in Texas was on standby to help.

Sid is from out of state, and Penny said the young boy doesn't know the area and could be lost.

"I know Sheriff Stovall is calling for birds in the air in the morning if we haven't found him," Penny said.

Anyone who thinks they might have information is asked to contact Miller County Sheriff's Office at 870-774-3001.
