Hope Police seeking suspect in homicide

The Hope, Ark. Police continue to search for a homicide suspect who allegedly fatally shot a Hope, Ark. man late Thursday afternoon..

The suspect in the homicide is a black male, Courvoisier Trotter, 22, of Hope, said Assistant Chief of Police Kim Tomlin.

A warrant of arrest has been issued for Trotter for allegedliy fatally shooting a Hope man. The name of the fatal gunshot victim has not been released pending notification of the next of kin, said Tomlin.

At mid-morning Friday, Trotter remains a fugitive and is considered armed and dangerous, said Tomlin.

The shooting was reported to the police at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of North Walker Street.

Officers found a black male with a gunshot wound to the chest laying in the yard of the residence. The victim was transporated to the Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope, where he died.

Detectives are searching for Trotter who is a black male. He reportedly left the scene driving a black four door, Mazda MZ6, said Tomlin.
