Texas High boys beat Greenville, 88-49

GREENVILLE, Texas-Texas High's boys varsity squad throttled Greenville, 88-49, on the road Friday.

Cole Drumm led the Tigers offensive onslaught with a game-high 18 points.

CJ Kelley added 14 points for THS in the rout.

Kyle Wright, Caleb Watson, and Nucci Clark poured in 10 points apiece for the Tigers.

Xavier Dean led Greenville with 11 points and Nakia Wilson added 10 points.

Texas High defeated Greenville in the junior varsity game, 68-58. Montarrius Johnson led the Tigers with 16 points and Jaquez Robertson added 14 points.

The 9th grade Tigers defeated Greenville, 74-40. Zane Dodson and Rian Cellers led the THS offensively, each scoring 15 points. Gavon Smith contributed 13 points for the Tigers.

ATLANTA, Texas-Liberty-Eylau was able to pull away in the second and fourth quarters to win its District 14-4A opener over host Atlanta.

Decorian Phillips scored 15 points for the Leopards (8-7, 1-0), Talveyion Cooper added 12 points and Kentraile Atkins had 11.

Daimion Collins and Dalton Johnson had 12 points apiece for the Rabbs, and Brendan Lomax had 10.

ATLANTA, Texas-Liberty-Eylau's dominating performance in the second and third quarter provided the needed distance to win 67-56 over Atlanta Friday night.

Taylor Crabtree led the Lady Leopard lashing with 33 points, eight rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Crabtree also shot all Liberty-Eylau's freetrhrows and was 5-8 from the stripe. Keeely Norris contributed a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

In opening quarter Liberty-Eylau went under 18-10.

The Leopards bounced back to outscore their host by a margin of 8 in the second and 12 in the third.

Keyona Easter led the Rabits with 12 points.

HALLSVILLE, Texas-Delia Tuttlebee scored the Lady Hawks first goal off a pass by Seagan Powell in the Hallsville varsity soccer tournament.

Sophia Tuttlebee put Pleasant Grove up 2-0 with a goal, and she was assisted by Georgia Cobb.

Hawk goalie Avery Jensen recorded the shutout.

Pleasant Grove plays Mount Pleasant on Saturday at the Hallsville tournament.
