Walker Chapel CME will host a worship celebration at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 18 at 2425 E. 14th St., Texarkana, Ark.
The theme is "Jesus' Sacrifice Enables Us to Give Our Best to Lift Others Onward and Upward. Together We Have, Together We Will."
Keynote speaker will be Bishop Henry M. Williamson Sr. of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. He is the founder and CEO of One Church One School Inc. He also is chairman of the Board of Trustees at Lane College, Collins Chapel Connectional Hospital, First Episcopal District HUD Housing Ministry and Department of Publications for the CME Church.
The event will celebrate the season of Lent and honor those who invest their time to improve the lives of others. Honoress are the Rev. James Story, Cynthia Lyles-Thompson, Ermer Pondexter and Tendra Washington.
