Lana Manry of Cabot has been a foster parent for 15 years and has provided a home to more than 300 children. She and her husband, Steven, have five biological children and six adopted children.

Two people were arrested on aggravated robbery charges in connection with the Thursday afternoon armed robbery of the Lakeway Country Store on U.S. Highway 59.

Noah Allen Fomby, 20, and Rochelle Alicia Rodriquez, 30, are being held in the Bi-State Justice Building jail. Bond had not been set for either suspect as of late Thursday, said Capt. Jeff Neal, chief deputy of Bowie County Sheriff's Office.

BCSO deputies were dispatched about 2:25 p.m. Thursday to a call of an armed robbery in the 8400 block of U.S. 59, Neal said. While on their way to the call, deputies were given the description of the man who had just robbed the store at gunpoint, along with a possible vehicle he might be in.

The entire drawer from the cash register was taken.

Liberty-Eylau Independent School District Police Chief Bart Veal was near the area and responded to help. Veal stopped a vehicle matching the description given in the 6300 block of U.S. 59 South, with Wake Village Police Officer Chris Cobb as backup.

Rodriquez was reportedly driving with Fomby as a passenger. A large amount of cash and rolled coins was in plain sight while the officers spoke to the suspects, police said.

Rodriquez told officers a handgun was in the vehicle's glove box. Clothes matching the description of those worn by the robber were found in the backseat, according to authorities.

Capt. Robby McCarver watched the video of this robbery and determined Fomby was the suspect, according to the sheriff's office.

Fomby was arrested and taken to the Bi-State. Rodriquez voluntarily spoke with investigators and was arrested.

Lt. George Huggins Jr. found the stolen cash drawer in the 1000 block of Sherwood Forest Road, and BCSO investigators collected it as evidence, Neal said.
