Cossatot River State Park will offer several 45-minute programs on stars and constellations Saturday.

Park interpreters will share stories and songs through the "Diamonds in the Sky" starlab and constellation programming.

The starlab is a large inflatable dome upon which stars can be projected. The meeting place is the visitors

center.

Starlab programs begin at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The programs are free.

Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic lunch and eat in the park.

A presentation on wintering birds will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday. Join a park interpreter to make bird wreaths for the birds who make the park their home. The meeting place is the visitor's center Legacy Room.

If someone is unable to make Saturday's events, there will be a one-hour constellation exploration class at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb.24. Visitors can join a park interpreter to lean about constellations they see in the park and create their own constellation story.

The meeting place is the sandbar picnic area.

Cossatot River State Park and Natural Area is located at 1980 Highway 278 in Wickes, Ark. For more information, call 870-385-2201.
