Early voting in Arkansas will kick off on Tuesday

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Early voting for the Preferential Primary and Nonpartisan General Election begins Tuesday, Feb.18.

Arkansans can check their voter registration information, find their polling location, or view a sample ballot, by visiting VoterView.org. VoterView is a service of the Arkansas Secretary of State.

Polls will be open between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Early voting ends at 5 p.m. on the Monday prior to the election. Election Day is Tuesday, March 3. The polls on Election Day will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Arkansas Secretary of State John Thurston's office says if you have moved or your information has changed and you need to update your voter registration, you have until Feb.28 to make changes before the March 3 election.

By state law, voter identification is required at the polls. A photo ID is required when you go to vote.
